Evolution of logos
I thought it would be interesting to post this. I had found this image in a graphic design book that had a bunch of logos designed by many designers. Here is the evolutionary change of the Starbucks logo. Has time goes by, many things change some have to change just to accommodate to today society views and beliefs. Starbucks had started out with a very provocative logo that later on changed probably to avoid a lot of sexual and inappropriate jokes.

Jarrito
Comunication Arts Magazine
Jarrito is fruity Mexican soda that is very popular outside of Mexico. Many people enjoy drinking it along side a meal which they had bought in a food-truck. However it is a bit of an inconvenience to open these for their customers. So Jarriot give away illustrated bottle openers to every food-truck that served Jarrito. Each one had a very intricate design that was inspired by Mexican art and culture. It was designed by Federico Archuleta.

For Better Days
Worldwide Graphic Design Latin-America
I was really attracted to this design because it is very detailed but still simple. I also enjoy the Koi fish design. Its a fish that is jumping out of the water. It incorporates a Japanese art style on the fish. While they use a Victorian style for the water splashing effects. That is a very unique and creative. I wish it was a t-shirt design. This was done by Jose Ignacio Fernandez.

Print December 2012
This was actually in an ad for the FX show Louie. I enjoy the show and also this art. I think it is very unique that they incorporated things that makes up New York and also their art style. New York is known for being the capital for art and design. Which is why I enjoy it so much plus Louie is a fun show to watch. This was done by a Graphic design studio called the Refinery.

Colors
I was headed to class today when this poster got my attention. It was just the colors that instantly grabbed my attention. The poster was there to advertise a school. I don't know who designed that poster but what I know about it is that they had succeeded in grabbing my attention. Just when I walked passed I was already entranced by the poster. As graphic designers we need to be able to get the attention of people in order to make a business out of it. The post successfully fulfilled that just by using colors. If it wasn't there I probably wouldn't even bother looking at the poster.

Art Nouveau
Schmutzler, Robert. Art Nouveau. New York: H. N. Abrams [c1962. Print.
This style of art is known as Art Nouveau. It is one of the graphic styles that is an option to do research on in Graphic Design History. The name was so interesting I decided to Google it an I was just blown away by the beautiful art. I needed to research this and know what exactly was "Art Nouveau". Sadly this art work wasn't really my favorite. it was really lacking detail from the other images i found online. I found these images in a book; in my opinion these were the best looking ones.
